A seat is a place, not a mailbox
Every Swiss GmbH and AG needs a registered office. The commercial register records two things: the seat, which is the municipality, and the legal domicile, the street address where the company can be reached (Art. 117 HRegV). A post office box does not qualify as legal domicile; it can only be added as a further address.
With us, that address is one of our two offices in Zug, and you can visit both. Untere Roostmatt 8 lies about 90 metres from Lake Zug, with parking; the S-Bahn stops right behind the building and the S2 reaches Zug station in 7 minutes. Baarerstrasse 38 is a 1929 office building between the station and the Metalli, 2 minutes from Zug station. Both addresses offer a c/o address and an own address without c/o with a workspace, as well as meeting rooms, a locker and visits by appointment. We open your mail every business day and keep a meeting room ready for your general meeting. You can pay monthly via Stripe or by invoice, also in ETH and USDC.

What is a registered office address?
It is the official address of your company in the commercial register, where letters from authorities, courts and business partners must reach it. Swiss law records the seat as the municipality and the legal domicile as street, house number, postcode and place (Art. 117 para. 2 HRegV). The address must lie in the municipality of the seat, so a company with its seat in Zug needs an address in Zug.
Domicile or registered address: is there a difference?
In Swiss practice, both words describe the same thing: the legal domicile, the street address entered in the commercial register. What differs is the seat, which is the municipality itself, for example Zug. A canton taxes a company whose seat or effective management lies within it (Art. 20 StHG), so where the company is actually run matters as much as the address.
Can I use a c/o address as my registered office?
Yes. The legal domicile can be the company's own address or someone else's, marked c/o, as long as the domicile holder files a declaration with the registration (Art. 117 para. 3 HRegV). We offer both: a c/o address, or your company name on our mailbox without c/o. For an address without c/o, the register can ask for proof such as a rental agreement (Art. 117 para. 4 HRegV).
Is a virtual office in Zug enough for the commercial register?
A virtual address is accepted for the entry if it meets Art. 117 HRegV: a street address in the municipality of the seat and, for a c/o address, a declaration by the domicile holder. What a virtual office often lacks is a place to meet. With us, the meeting rooms are part of the Base package, so your general meeting can take place in Zug. We do not offer a telephone answering service.
How does mail forwarding work?
We receive your post every business day, scan it and forward it to you digitally, so you can read it wherever you work. Originals go out by Swiss Post on request. If official correspondence is time-sensitive, we also contact you immediately, in addition to the scan.
What is a domiciliary company in Switzerland?
It is a company without its own commercial operations: it does not trade, manufacture or run a business in a commercial manner, and typically holds assets or participations. Such structures are legal. Since 1 October 2026, domicile providers fall under the Anti-Money Laundering Act (Art. 2 para. 3ter AMLA), so we classify every client company as operating or domiciliary at onboarding. The result changes how closely and how often we review the file.
